Computex 2017 - Phanteks
Phanteks' main focus was a pair of upcoming mini-ITX cases, the Enthoo Evolv Shift X and the Enthoo Evolv Shift. Both are designed to keep the desk footprint as small as possible – it's 17cm x 27cm on both – and stack hardware vertically as a result. Premium materials including anodised aluminium and tempered glass are used, and all panels pop off for easy all-round access to hardware. Both cases sport RGB LED controls that are compatible with the respective suites from MSI, Asus, and Gigabyte/Aorus.

The main difference is size and volume – the taller Shift X increases the volume from 22 litres to 30 litres in a move that makes it more suitable for DIY liquid-cooling loops. The Evolv Shfit does support radiators, but is better suited to all-in-one models: Phanteks had it on display with a system using two 120mm-based all-in-one coolers. The Shift X is also capable of supporting ATX PSUs, but the Shift is limited to SFX-L support.

The design means that the motherboard and graphics I/O panels are located at the top, with the large grille structure here used to hide cables from view. This is made from aluminium with the Shift X and plastic with the Shift, and it pops open easily for convenient access. The PCI-E riser hardware and expansion bracket design also means you can choose whether to show off the front or back of your GPU through the tempered glass side panel.
The Evolv Shift X is set to retail for 159 Euros while the Shift should come in at 109 Euros. Both cases are due to be released at the start of Q3 this year.

The Eclipse P300, meanwhile, is an entry-level chassis set to retail for just 59 Euros (also in Q3). It will come in black, black and white, and black and red, and despite the low cost the case will have a tempered glass side panel. The inside is kept neat and tidy with a PSU cover and an angled motherboard tray which can hide cables with no need for grommets. A top magnetic filter is included, as is a slide-out one at the back for the PSU.
